About Turners - Health & Safety

The health and safety team of Turners (Soham) Ltd is based at its head office at Newmarket and oversees all aspects of health and safety throughout the Turners group of companies. The team assists directors and managers to achieve company and department objectives in a safe and legally compliant way.

A programme of health and safety audits ensures that all working procedures that employees of the company are involved in, are suitably and effectively risk assessed. From these, safe systems of work are generated and employees suitably trained to achieve the competency levels expected of them to undertake their duties.

This allows work to be carried out with the least possible risk to themselves and others. In conjunction with its customers, Turners assist in carrying out site risk assessments to ensure deliveries and collections can be made with the least possible risk to people involved in the supply chain, and to the general public. A system of near miss reporting throughout the business generates a culture of accident and incident prevention that assists the company to achieve its business objectives,and satisfy customer demand.
