Driver Trainer – Fuel Tankers

(Base Location is flexible)

 

We are looking to recruit a professional and motivated Driver Trainer to support the ongoing development of our tanker driver workforce across the UK.

 

You will support all areas of driver development and training, helping to maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering practical training for the safe loading and delivery of fuel tankers across:
    • Commercial
    • Aviation
    • Retail
    • Domestic sectors
  • Delivering Petroleum Driver Passport (PDP) training, including:
    • Classroom-based instruction
    • Practical driver assessments
  • Conducting new driver inductions
  • Delivering ongoing development and refresher training
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date training records
  • Supporting compliance and best practice across all ADR operations

Work will involve travel to locations throughout the UK where our ADR fleet is based.

 

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience loading and delivering fuel tankers to PDP standard (Retail & Commercial sectors as a minimum)
  • Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Licence (LGV Cat C+E)
  • Be in possession of a valid DQC, Driver Card, ADR Certificate and PDP
  • Be self-motivated, highly reliable and professional
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong safety focus
  • Be confident working independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team

Previous experience in a driver training or development role would be desirable, but is not essential — full support will be provided for the right candidate.
