Turners & Inver Energy awarded Fuel Oil News 'Trailer of the Year'...

At this year’s Federation of Petroleum Suppliers EXPO, held in Liverpool, a Turners ADR trailer supplied by Williams Tanker Services for the Inver Energy contract in Cardiff was awarded Trailer of the Year by Fuel Oil News.

The above shows Bruce Williams WTS - LAG, Tony Wilson Commercial Director for Inver Energy, Jane Hughes Fuel Oil News and Paul Preston General Manager Turners ADR receiving their awards.

This new tanker has followed a close partnership between Turners and Inver Energy exploring ways of maximising payload and Operational efficiencies.

Tony Wilson commented “The tanker’s bespoke modifications have made our transport capabilities more efficient, we can make a more competitive offering to customers and it helps reduce our daily carbon footprint”.

The Williams Tanker Services LAG trailer utilises a proven baffle and vessel design, LAG construction method. These modifications within the design offer technical excellence as the vessel construction requires only three circumference welds to achieve the vessel’s overall length. It also eliminates inter-compartment or external weld joints, ensuring zero vessel leakage. This bespoke single compartment trailer achieves a payload of 30,500kg at 44 tonnes GCW.

Paul Preston added “our client Inver Energy benefits from this three way partnership approach with Williams in supplying the latest bespoke equipment for our contract and helps drive continuous improvement and operational efficiencies”.

Paul Preston – General Manager ADR Division Turners Soham Ltd.
